英字新聞を読み解く!!!Vol .592難易度★☆☆☆☆

英字新聞を読むには各単語の形式を知ることが大事!

英語を勉強し始めたばかりの段階だと、教材と違って英字新聞を読むのはかなり難しいと思います。それぞれの新聞が独自の書き方をもっていたりもするので。なので、僕が補足をつけながら、英字新聞を読むのお手伝いしようと思います。教材の文法には慣れたけど英字新聞はまだ苦手という、初級ー中級あたりの人用の解説です。

何回も言いますが、新聞を読むためには各々の単語が名詞(noun)なのか、形容詞(adjective)なのか、副詞(adverb)なのかがめちゃくちゃ大事になってきます!文法はほんっっっっっっとうに大事です!!!一緒に一つずつやっていきましょう!僕の勉強がわりにもなっているので、僕が知っていることは飛ばしていたりします。なので、何かわからないことがあれば気軽にコメントください。できるだけ答えます!よろしくお願いします 😉

Two men in Brazil ended up surprising one another with a double marriage proposal.

In a video shared online, one of the men pulls out an engagement ring box as he gets down on one knee to propose to the love of his life.

His partner appears to be truly gobsmacked as the proposal begins, but it is only after seeing what happens next that viewers realize why.

gobsmacked (adjective)

Cambridge Dictionary によると ” so surprised that you cannot speak: という風に記載されています。

例文:

He was completely gobsmacked when he won the award.

After taking in the moment for a few seconds with his hand over his mouth in pure amazement, the man in the orange shorts walks down a couple of steps and reaches into his backpack for an item of his own.

The gentleman who made the original marriage proposal looks slightly bemused as his partner walks away from him, but seconds later everyone is in for a second surprise.

His boyfriend pulls out a near-identical ring box which he shows off to the surprise of his husband-to-be, who is so taken aback he ends up walking away in astonishment before putting his hand to his eyes.

Macmillan Dictionary によると ” confused という風に記載されています。

identical (adjective)

Macmillan Dictionary によると ” exactly the same という風に記載されています。

例文:

All the plants were grown under identical conditions.

The two rooms were virtually identical.

People who witnessed the special moment as they walked down the steps from a Ferris wheel cheered the pair on as they declared their love for one another.

The entire proposal was all caught on camera and posted online.

It’s not known who the happy couple are despite the video having had more than 25 million views on Facebook.
