英字新聞を読むには各単語の形式を知ることが大事！
英語を勉強し始めたばかりの段階だと、教材と違って英字新聞を読むのはかなり難しいと思います。それぞれの新聞が独自の書き方をもっていたりもするので。なので、僕が補足をつけながら、英字新聞を読むのお手伝いしようと思います。教材の文法には慣れたけど英字新聞はまだ苦手という、初級ー中級あたりの人用の解説です。
何回も言いますが、新聞を読むためには各々の単語が名詞（noun）なのか、形容詞（adjective）なのか、副詞（adverb）なのかがめちゃくちゃ大事になってきます！文法はほんっっっっっっとうに大事です！！！一緒に一つずつやっていきましょう！僕の勉強がわりにもなっているので、僕が知っていることは飛ばしていたりします。なので、何かわからないことがあれば気軽にコメントください。できるだけ答えます！よろしくお願いします 😉

A man whose wife tried to chop off his penis with a pair of scissors had it surgically reattached and can now have sex again.
The 31-year-old man, who has not been named, triggered the wrath of his wife by having sex with someone else.
And while he slept, his spouse attempted gruesome revenge when she attacked his penis with a pair of scissors and almost completely sliced the end off.
He suffered ‘massive bleeding’ and what doctors called ‘penile amputation’, but the medics’ quick actions meant they could save his member and stitch it back on.

The spurned husband has since regained the use of his penis and is able to urinate, get erections and even have sex again – although with whom the doctors didn’t say.

To spurn (verb)
Cambridge Dictionary によると ” to refuse to accept something or someone because you feel that thing or person is not worth having: “という風に記載されていますね。

To urinate (verb)
Macmillan Dictionary によると ” to get rid of urine from your body “という風に記載されています。
Doctors at the Peking University First Hospital in China, where the man was treated, revealed his story in a horrifying case report.
They wrote: ‘A 31-year-old male was assaulted with scissors by his wife because of his betrayal when he was sleeping.
‘His penile glans was almost completely cut off. There was massive bleeding after penile amputation.
‘He had been sent to two medical centers, but finally he was transferred to our urological center.’
urological center は、泌尿器科センターです。
betrayal (noun)
Cambridge Dictionary によると 動詞 betrayalの名詞系になります。動詞の意味は ” to not be loyal to your country or a person, often by doing something harmful such as helping their enemies: “という風に記載されています。

glans (noun)
Cambridge Dictionary によると ” the head of the penis (= the male sexual organ) or the end of the clitoris (= part of the female sexual organs) “という風に記載されていますね。
The medics, led by Dr Kunlin Yang, said the man’s penis was still warm and alive six hours after the incident.
To save his penis they had to perform emergency surgery under general anaesthetic, during which they cleaned the wound and began to repair it.
general anaesthetic が全身麻酔、local anestheticが局部麻酔です。
The amputated section of the penis – most of the head of the organ – was still attached by a ‘flap’ of skin.
Using this, the surgeons realigned the two sides of the man’s penis and stitched together the blood vessels in a microsurgical procedure, piecing it back together.
blood vesselは血管のことです。
Richard Viney, a urological surgeon in Birmingham, was not involved with the case but said the man was ‘lucky the cut was so near the tip’.
He told MailOnline: ‘In the downside, the vessels are much smaller towards the tip making microscopic repair impossible but on the upside, the bulk of the penis is unaffected so the bulk of the erectile tissue and sensation is undamaged.
‘The reattached tip may recover some sensation over time but will likely not fully recover but if the rest of the shaft is undamaged then sex should still be pleasurable and result in climax and all that goes with it.
‘The wounds should have healed adequately for sex after 6 weeks but best wait until 3 months. Any earlier and he might be able to allow a partner to, “keep the tip”.’
After the surgery they then used blood-letting – an ancient medical procedure which drains blood from the body to treat disease – to help him recover.
They stuck needles into the flesh of his penis to let out blood which had built up during the traumatic injury.
Just three days after the operation the man got a ‘morning erection’ for the first time, which the doctors said ‘felt painful’.
He was sent home from hospital after two weeks and had to use a catheter for a month.
catheter はカーテルのことで、体腔、尿道、気管などに挿入して液体を排出または注入するための細い管のことです。
The medics wrote: ‘Three months later, the patient reported that he could complete sexual intercourse with effective erectile function, and had good urinary pattern… The glans had obvious sense of touch and mild pain sensation.’
They did not specify who his sexual partner was, nor whether his marriage ended after the incident.
The case report was published in the journal Urology Case Reports.
To amputate (verb)

To realign (verb)

例文：
She realigned the books along the edge of the shelf.
piece together (phrasal verb)
Macmillan Dictionary によると ” to make something by combining separate bits “という風に記載されていますね。

erectile (adjective)
Cambridge Dictionary によると ” Erectile body tissue is able to become larger and harder than usual by being filled with blood. “という風に記載されていますね。

shaft (noun)
Macmillan Dictionary によると ” the main part of something long and thin, not including the end “という風に記載されていますね。

adequately (adverb)
Macmillan Dictionary によると ” in a way that is good enough or large enough for a particular purpose “という風に記載されていますね。

flesh (noun)
Macmillan Dictionary によると ” the soft part of people’s or animals’ bodies that consists mostly of muscle and fat “という風に記載されていますね。
例文：
Vegetarians don’t eat animal flesh (= meat).
The flesh of the fruit is white.
The dog’s teeth sank into my flesh.
intercourse (noun)
Cambridge Dictionary によると ” the act of having sex: “という風に記載されていますね。
例文：
vaginal/anal intercourse
Our survey reveals that most couples have intercourse once a week.
