英字新聞を読むには各単語の形式を知ることが大事！
英語を勉強し始めたばかりの段階だと、教材と違って英字新聞を読むのはかなり難しいと思います。それぞれの新聞が独自の書き方をもっていたりもするので。なので、僕が補足をつけながら、英字新聞を読むのお手伝いしようと思います。教材の文法には慣れたけど英字新聞はまだ苦手という、初級ー中級あたりの人用の解説です。
何回も言いますが、新聞を読むためには各々の単語が名詞（noun）なのか、形容詞（adjective）なのか、副詞（adverb）なのかがめちゃくちゃ大事になってきます！文法はほんっっっっっっとうに大事です！！！一緒に一つずつやっていきましょう！僕の勉強がわりにもなっているので、僕が知っていることは飛ばしていたりします。なので、何かわからないことがあれば気軽にコメントください。できるだけ答えます！よろしくお願いします 😉

Steve Whitehouse was trying to buy clothes in Scotts Menswear in Stoke-on-Trent when the contents of his trousers became a topic of conversation
A man with a very large penis was accused of shoplifting due to his suspicious package.
Steve Whitehurst and his girlfriend Mandy Shenton were at the till of Scotts Menswear in Stoke-on-Trent buying £400 of gear when a female manager made a stinging accusaiton.
As Ms Shenton’s 18-month-old granddaughter watched on, the probing staff member pointed at the 47-year-old’s bulge.
She accused Mr Whitehurst of having stuffed clothes down the front of what he later admitted were “very tight jeans”.
In a bid to clear his name, the under-fire shopper dropped his trousers to the floor.

accusation (noun)
Macmillan Dictionary によると ” a claim that someone has done something illegal or wrong “という風に記載されていますね。
例文：
The Minister denied the accusation that she had lied.
Several accusations were made against the government.
probing (adjective)
Macmillan Dictionary によると ” trying to find out the truth about something “という風に記載されていますね。
例文：
probing questions
She asked me a few probing questions.
bulge (noun/verb)
Macmillan Dictionary によると ” Anecdotal information is not based on facts or careful study: “という風に記載されていますね。
例文：
She was only three months pregnant but already had a slight bulge.
I wondered what the bulge in her coat pocket was.
The bulge in his pocket showed where he kept his wallet.
Her bags were bulging with shopping.
The girl’s cheek bulged with a wad of gum.
come under fire (phrase)
Macmillan Dictionary によると ” to be criticized “という風に記載されていますね。
例文：
The government will come under fire again when the latest crime figures are released.
“I can’t help the way I’m made. I just kept telling her that it was my penis,” the window fitter told The Sun.
Despite presenting his boxer clad lower half to the manager, he was not yet free of suspicion.

“What is that bulge?” the woman asked, gesturing to his heftily proportioned private area.
Mr Whitehurst was then taken to a cubicle by a security male security guard, he claimed, and made to show his 10 inch penis.
The guard shook his head, left the cubicle and approached the manager, who said: “Please tell me he‘s got something down there?”
He replied: “No”.

-clad (suffix)
Macmillan Dictionary によると ” used with some nouns to make adjectives describing the type of clothing that someone is wearing “という風に記載されていますね。

cubicle (noun)
Macmillan Dictionary によると ” a small enclosed area in a room, separated from the rest of the room by thin walls or curtains “という風に記載されていますね。
例文：
a shower/toilet cubicle
She went into the changing cubicle to try on the dress.
I was getting undressed in one of the cubicles.
shake your head (phrase)
Macmillan Dictionary によると ” to say no by turning your head from side to side “という風に記載されていますね。
例文：
My boss shook his head and I knew not to ask again.
Following what was the “craziest” experience of his life, Mr Whitehurst complained to Scotts menswear’s parent company JD Sports.
Ms Shenton said: “It was so humiliating. What they did to Steve was disgusting.”
Staff at the store deny asking Mr Whitehurst to expose himself and claimed there was “good grounds” to suspect him.
They claimed they found a missing electronic tag in a jacket he tried on, and the bulge was “much smaller than staff remembered it”.

Cambridge Dictionary によると ” If a man exposes himself, he shows his sexual organs in a public place to people he does not know. “という風に記載されていますね。
grounds (noun)
Macmillan Dictionary によると ” a reason for what you say or do, or for being allowed to say or do something “という風に記載されていますね。
例文：
He believes he has reasonable grounds for making the demand.
There do seem to be some grounds for their complaints.
We have grounds to believe that you have been lying to us.
