英字新聞を読むには各単語の形式を知ることが大事！
英語を勉強し始めたばかりの段階だと、教材と違って英字新聞を読むのはかなり難しいと思います。それぞれの新聞が独自の書き方をもっていたりもするので。なので、僕が補足をつけながら、英字新聞を読むのお手伝いしようと思います。教材の文法には慣れたけど英字新聞はまだ苦手という、初級ー中級あたりの人用の解説です。
何回も言いますが、新聞を読むためには各々の単語が名詞（noun）なのか、形容詞（adjective）なのか、副詞（adverb）なのかがめちゃくちゃ大事になってきます！文法はほんっっっっっっとうに大事です！！！一緒に一つずつやっていきましょう！僕の勉強がわりにもなっているので、僕が知っていることは飛ばしていたりします。なので、何かわからないことがあれば気軽にコメントください。できるだけ答えます！よろしくお願いします 😉

ASOS bulldog clipped dress causes a fuss online
ASOS has apologised for leaving two bulldog clips on a dress for sale on their website.
They were clearly visible and being used to hold the dress in place and possibly to create more shape.
A sharp-eyed shopper spotted it, and then social media had lots to say about it.
The clips have since been edited out, but now some are left questioning whether online shops are misleading them in regards to sizing.

More and more people are getting this type of information online.
possibly (adverb)
Macmillan Dictionary によると ” likely to happen or be true, but not certain “という風に記載されていますね。
例文：
‘Do we have enough money to get a car?’ ‘Possibly.’
He may possibly decide not to come, in which case there’s no problem.
I might possibly get the job finished by tomorrow evening, if I have no more interruptions.
sharp-eyed (adjective)
Cambridge Dictionaryによると ” very good at noticing things: “という風に記載されていますね。
例文：
A sharp-eyed secretary noticed the mistake just in time.
To mislead (verb)
Cambridge Dictionaryによると ” to cause someone to believe something that is not true: “という風に記載されていますね。
例文：
‘There was no intention to mislead the public,’ Katz told the newspaper.
He has admitted misleading the police about his movements on the night of the murder.
One person on Twitter said: “Ok, but are the clips included with the dress? It’s a bold look.”
Unfortunately, they’re not and weren’t meant to be there in the first place.
ASOS responded to the tweet in quick fashion – in just 10 minutes to be precise.
And by the afternoon the clips had been edited and removed from the dress.
bold (adjective)
Cambridge Dictionary によると ” not frightened of danger: “と、 ” strong in colour or shape, and very noticeable to the eye: “という風に記載されていますね。

in the first place (phrase)
Macmillan Dictionaryによると ” used for stating the most basic reason for something “という風に記載されていますね。
例文：
There were several reasons he couldn’t sleep. In the first place, Peg snored.
in fashion (phrase)
Cambridge Dictionaryによると ” in a particular way “という風に記載されていますね。
例文：
Voting was conducted in a peaceful and orderly fashion.
The rebel army behaved in a brutal fashion.
The sale of the property has to be conducted in a systematic fashion.
to be precise (phrase)
Macmillan Dictionaryによると ” used for saying that the information you are giving about something is more exact than what you have said before “という風に記載されていますね。日本語にすると「正確に言うと」です。
例文：
It’s her 70th birthday soon, in March to be precise.
But that didn’t do the trick in stopping people talking about it.
Then, of course, the frustrations spread a little further to more general concerns about the way things are meant to fit and how they actually do fit when they arrive on your doorstep.
Some even going on to reference the ASOS slogan.
ASOS stocks more than 850 brands and ships all over the world but last year it warned profit growth was slowing.
At the start of the month, ASOS threatened to block serial returners , saying if it suspected someone of returning lots it might deactivate their account.
But some shoppers now find the threat hypocritical saying the reason why some have to return large amounts of items is due to inaccurate sizing.
To deactivate (verb)

threat (noun)
Cambridge Dictionaryによると ” a suggestion that something unpleasant or violent will happen, especially if a particular action or order is not followed: “という風に記載されていますね。

Her parents carried out their threat to take away her mobile phone if her grades didn’t improve.
They face the threat of terrorism every day.
hypocritical (adjective)
Macmillan Dictionaryによると ” tclaiming to have certain moral principles or beliefs but behaving in a way that shows you are not sincere “という風に記載されていますね。
