‘No we are not a same sex couple, but we do share a daughter,’ Stepdad Dylan wrote.

‘David is Sarah’s ex-husband and I am the fiance. We have molded ourselves into one unique family, if only for the sake of our children to know the power of love.

‘Not only did I gain a daughter, but I also gained a brother and a best friend.’

The post went on to explain how they hope their relationship can help breakdown ideas of it being ‘the norm’ for exes and new partners to hate each other.

‘When we care more about our children (on both sides of the party) thAn the way society has taught us to be towards (ex’s/baby mommas/daddy’s) then walls will fall, life will be free of hatred and remorse, and our children will conquer the foolish “norms” that media has shoved in our faces,’ he wrote.

The cordial relationship works well for the family as David will even stay with Sarah and Dylan when he is visiting so he can be closer to his daughter.

‘Of course, not a single moment would be like this without Sarah (mommy) and her kind and generous heart,’ the post continued. ‘Willow Grace you are loved by so many people in this world and your Daddies love you!’

Pictures of the two dads, photographed by Sarah, showed the love shared between the men as they celebrated taking Willow to a father-daughter dance.

The adorable youngster wore a pink-and-red gown with a tiara placed on top of her head as she grinned from ear-to-ear in pictures.
