英字新聞を読むには各単語の形式を知ることが大事！
英語を勉強し始めたばかりの段階だと、教材と違って英字新聞を読むのはかなり難しいと思います。それぞれの新聞が独自の書き方をもっていたりもするので。なので、僕が補足をつけながら、英字新聞を読むのお手伝いしようと思います。教材の文法には慣れたけど英字新聞はまだ苦手という、初級ー中級あたりの人用の解説です。
何回も言いますが、新聞を読むためには各々の単語が名詞（noun）なのか、形容詞（adjective）なのか、副詞（adverb）なのかがめちゃくちゃ大事になってきます！文法はほんっっっっっっとうに大事です！！！一緒に一つずつやっていきましょう！僕の勉強がわりにもなっているので、僕が知っていることは飛ばしていたりします。なので、何かわからないことがあれば気軽にコメントください。できるだけ答えます！よろしくお願いします 😉

ここでのboardは動詞です。

To budge (verb)
Macmillan Dictionaryによると” to move, or to move something, especially something that is very heavy or is stuck “というふうに記載されていますね。
例文：
I’ve tried moving the desk but it won’t budge/I can’t budge it.
The demonstrators would not budge from the governor’s office.
We tried to open a window but couldn’t budge any of them.
I pulled again, but the wheel wouldn’t budge.
She refused to budge from his office until she got an answer.

Frustrated passengers on the platform are forced to walk to the next carriage as the scooter rider had blocked the entrance after parking sideways facing the door.
He and a woman who wanted to get in can be seen exchanging annoyed gestures as he refuses to budge from his spot.
It is not known when the clip was captured but it was filmed on a 2 express train towards the Bronx on the New York City subway.
sideways (adverb)
Cambridge Dictionaryによると” in a direction to the left or right, not forwards or backwards: ” というふうに記載されています。横向きという意味です。
例文：
Turn the table sideways.
If you’d move sideways I could see better.
If you stand sideways it’s harder for people to hit you.
The fence is leaning sideways.
If you would move sideways to the left, I can get everyone in the picture.
At the start of the clip the train has stopped at a station and the passengers on the platform wait for the carriage doors to open.
The man has parked his scooter parallel with the doors making it impossible for anyone to squeeze past him unless he moves his vehicle.
When the doors open a female passenger outside sees the scooter and, realising the rider is not going to move, gestures with her hand in annoyance.
The man responds with another signal as if to indicate there was nothing he could do other than block the entrance.
Reluctantly the woman and her fellow passengers move down to the next carriage while she and the rider seem to exchange some words.
parallel (adjective)
Macmillan Dictionaryによると” lines that are parallel are the same distance apart at every point along their whole length “というふうに記載されています。
例文：
The river enters the town from the east and flows parallel with the main street.
I drew two parallel lines around the border of the drawing.
Draw a pair of parallel lines.
Hills Road is parallel to Mill Road.
The two roads are parallel.
The river is parallel to Green Street.
annoyance (noun)
Macmillan Dictionaryによると” the feeling or state of being annoyed: “というふうに記載されています。
例文：
I can understand your annoyance – I’d be furious if she ever treated me like that.
Shaking his head in annoyance, Patrick left the room.
One of the greatest annoyances was being bitten by mosquitoes every night.
Reluctantly (adverb)
Cambridge Dictionaryによると” not willing to do something and therefore slow to do it: “というふうに記載されています。
例文：
She reluctantly decided to sell her home.
She reluctantly agreed to step down as managing director.
He reluctantly resigned.
She had trouble sleeping but was reluctant to take sleeping pills.
I was having such a good time I was reluctant to leave.
Many parents feel reluctant to talk openly with their children.
She persuaded her reluctant husband to take a trip to Florida with her.
To exchange (verb)
Macmillan Dictionaryによると” to say something to someone and then listen to what they say “というふうに記載されています。
例文：
We all exchanged greetings.
Team meetings are an opportunity to exchange ideas.
They exchanged a few words in what sounded like Spanish.
We exchanged greetings before the meeting.
We can exchange addresses when we see each other.
