英字新聞を読むには各単語の形式を知ることが大事！
英語を勉強し始めたばかりの段階だと、教材と違って英字新聞を読むのはかなり難しいと思います。それぞれの新聞が独自の書き方をもっていたりもするので。なので、僕が補足をつけながら、英字新聞を読むのお手伝いしようと思います。教材の文法には慣れたけど英字新聞はまだ苦手という、初級ー中級あたりの人用の解説です。
何回も言いますが、新聞を読むためには各々の単語が名詞（noun）なのか、形容詞（adjective）なのか、副詞（adverb）なのかがめちゃくちゃ大事になってきます！文法はほんっっっっっっとうに大事です！！！一緒に一つずつやっていきましょう！僕の勉強がわりにもなっているので、僕が知っていることは飛ばしていたりします。なので、何かわからないことがあれば気軽にコメントください。できるだけ答えます！よろしくお願いします 😉

To sway (verb)

avidly (adverb)
Macmillan Dictionaryによると形容詞 avidは、” very enthusiastic about something you do regularly “というふうに記載されています。
例文：

We listened avidly to the news from our secret radios.
enthralled (adjective)
Macmillan Dictionaryによると” so interested in or excited by something that you give it all your attention “というふうに記載されています。
例文：
This is a story that enthrals listeners from beginning to end.
The baseball game completely enthralled the crowd.
The audience was enthralled for two hours by a sparkling, dramatic performance.

accurate (adjective)

‘The crowd did not seem to notice, but I was very impressed,’ he said.
‘I had seen this at other concerts, but never on one side of the stage. It made my skin crawl with emotion.’
To garner (verb)

take turns (phrase)
Cambridge Dictionaryによると” When a number of people take turns, they do the same thing one after the other: “ というふうに記載されていますね。
例文：
We take turns answering the phone.
We took turns steering the boat.
To impress (verb)
Macmillan Dictionaryによると ” if someone or something impresses you, you admire them “ というふうに記載されていますね。
例文：
What impressed me was their ability to deal with any problem.
He tried to impress me with his extensive knowledge of wine.
He tried to impress his teachers by using big words in all his essays.
make sb’s skin crawl (noun)
Cambridge Dictionaryによると” If someone or something makes your skin crawl, you think they are very unpleasant or frightening: “ というふうに記載されていますが、ここでは良い意味で「鳥肌がたった」という表現で使われています。
例文：
Just thinking about the way he had touched her made her skin crawl.
In 1990, Congress passed the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, which requires concert venues to provide interpreters for deaf attendees.
Music concert interpreters say they don’t merely translate the lyrics into sign language but they try to capture the artists’ musicality, movement and expressions, which means that two artists singing the very same song will have two different interpretations in sign language.
merely (adverb)
Cambridge Dictionaryによると” used to emphasize that you mean exactly what you are saying and nothing more: “ というふうに記載されていますね。

I wasn’t complaining, I merely said that I was tired.

musicality (verb)
Cambridge Dictionaryによると” skill and good judgment in playing music: “というふうに記載されています。

interpretation (noun)
Cambridge Dictionaryによると” an explanation or opinion of what something means: “ というふうに記載されていますね。
例文：
The Catholic interpretation of the Bible is slightly different.
We had different interpretations of the survey results.
The rules are vague and open to interpretation.
It is difficult for many people to accept a literal interpretation of the Bible.
It was regarded as a very narrow interpretation of the law.
