REVEALED: The REAL age women hit their sexual peak – and why your sex life should only improve with age

There have been numerous studies that claim a woman’s libido peaks at 31

Studies have also stated that men reach their peak at the young age of 19

・Sydney sexologist, Dr Nikki Goldstein, revealed that neither is true

peak (noun/verb)

Cambridge Dictionaryによると” the highest, strongest, or best point, value, or level of skill: というふうに記載されていますね。

例文:

The traffic reaches its peak at about 8.30 in the morning.

He seems to have reached the peak of his tennis career.

Accommodation is tricky to find at the peak of the season.

The evening rush hour reaches its peak between 5 and 6pm.

The Beatles were at their peak during the 1960s.

Prices reach a peak during August.

neither (noun)

Cambridge Dictionaryによると” not either of two things or people:: というふうに記載されていますね。

例文:

We’ve got two TVs, but neither works properly.

They have two TVs but neither one works.

Neither of my brothers could come to the party.

Neither of my parents likes my boyfriend.

You might have heard that women reach their sexual peak more than a decade later than men.

But according to one sexologist, men and women’s libidos aren’t that different after all.

Dr Nikki Goldstein, from Sydney, told FEMAIL that there is a sweet spot that everyone hits when it comes to their libido, which relies heavily on their relationship, work and family life.

‘The best age range is your late 20s to your mid 30s and it’s the same for both men and women,’ Dr Goldstein said.

sweet spot (noun)

Macmillan Dictionaryによると” the place on a racket or bat where a hit will have the maximum effect と、” the best possible place or combination of factors というふうに記載されていますね。

例文:

The new tennis rackets are lighter, stronger, and have a bigger sweet spot.

Previous studies have found that men peak sexually at the age of 19, while women have to wait until they’re 31.

‘When you’re younger you’re still focusing on your career and trying to understand who you are and how your body works,’ she said.

‘Then when we’re a lot older your body starts to work against you and boredom can set in,’ she said.

‘That’s why there is a sweet spot when none of this is going on.’

During the mid 20s to 30s age bracket you’re also old enough that you know your body and partner better.

Women have a better understanding of what they like and they also understand how to have better sex because they have more experience to reflect on.

‘A 19 year old man might be able to last longer but they’re like a jackrabbit with no direction,’ she added.

boredom (noun)

She felt she needed time to reflect on what to do next.

They also enter a new age of sexual confidence and discovery during their thirties.

‘For men sex is pretty straight forward, I masturbate, I get an erection, I stick it in here, whereas for women so much of their sexuality is hidden and controlled and when they peak they’re fighting against this control,’ she said.

‘If you look at men, although their testosterone drops at 40, they also become more confident as well.’

testosteroneは、テストステロンという男性ホルモンの一種です。

Although when you’re younger you may have more stamina, most often the sex you’re have in your teenage years isn’t very good.

‘For the majority of people sex gets better as they age,’ she said.

Of course this doesn’t mean that people don’t need help when it comes to their libido level.

‘The biggest thing for women is for them to understand what they want in the bedroom,’ Nikki explained.

‘Not all women know what they want and what makes them orgasm but if you don’t know how is your partner meant to?’

The sexologist explained that another reason people’s libido’s increase at this age is because they’re experiencing better sex.

‘If you were having really good sex you would want more of it, which is often what we see happening.’
