英字新聞を読むには各単語の形式を知ることが大事！
英語を勉強し始めたばかりの段階だと、教材と違って英字新聞を読むのはかなり難しいと思います。それぞれの新聞が独自の書き方をもっていたりもするので。なので、僕が補足をつけながら、英字新聞を読むのお手伝いしようと思います。教材の文法には慣れたけど英字新聞はまだ苦手という、初級ー中級あたりの人用の解説です。
何回も言いますが、新聞を読むためには各々の単語が名詞（noun）なのか、形容詞（adjective）なのか、副詞（adverb）なのかがめちゃくちゃ大事になってきます！文法はほんっっっっっっとうに大事です！！！一緒に一つずつやっていきましょう！僕の勉強がわりにもなっているので、僕が知っていることは飛ばしていたりします。なので、何かわからないことがあれば気軽にコメントください。できるだけ答えます！よろしくお願いします 😉

To hit (verb)
Macmillan Dictionaryによると” to have a bad effect on someone or something “というふうに記載されていますね。
例文：

Commuters are going to be hit hard by the rise in gasoline prices.
along with (phrase)
Macmillan Dictionaryによると” used for mentioning additional people or things that are also included or involved in something “というふうに記載されていますね。
例文：
Ramos was arrested along with eleven other men.
come in (phrasal verb)
Macmillan Dictionaryによると ” if something such as a message comes in, it is received by someone “というふうに記載されていますね。
例文：
Reports are coming in of a major air accident.
Reports are just coming in of a major accident on the motorway.
Facebook users are in a frenzy after many attempted to log on today only to find the site is down.
manyは多くの人という意味です。 poepleが省略されています。
log on = log in
The outage appears to have affected users around the world, with thousands of reports within the first hour.
Frustrated Facebook users took Twitter to express their gripes – but after a few hours of troubles, it appears the site is finally up and running again for most.
frenzy (noun)
Macmillan Dictionaryによると” a state of uncontrolled activity or emotion “ と記載されていますね。
例文：
She was in a frenzy of rage.
In a frenzy of rage she hit him.
outage (noun)
Cambridge Dictionaryによると” a period when a service, such as electricity, is not available: “ と記載されていますね。
例文：
The radio news reported power outages affecting 50 homes.
gripe (noun)
Macmillan Dictionaryによると ” a strong complaint: “ と記載されていますね。
例文：
Her main gripe is that she’s not being trained properly.
My biggest gripe about living here is the hot weather.
According to DownDetector, the issue appears to have started just before 1 p.m. (ET).
And, it’s not isolated.
A live outage map shows outage hot-spots across the United States, with the northeast hit particularly hard.
Facebook was also down for users along the West Coast, in Mexico, and in parts of South America.
Parts of Europe also appeared to be affected by the outage, with reports that Facebook is down coming primarily from the UK and Germany.
There were also scattered reports in India, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
isolated (adjective)
Macmillan Dictionaryの２つ目の意味によると ” happening only once, or existing only in one place “ と記載されていますね。
例文：
Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident.
There were only a few isolated cases of violent behaviour.
primarily (adverb)
Cambridge Dictionaryによると ” mainly: “ と記載されていますね。
例文：
Baseball is primarily a summer game.
The magazine is targeted primarily at young middle-class women.
The company’s failure was primarily due to weak sales.
scattered (adjective)
Macmillan Dictionaryによると ” spread over a large area “ と記載されていますね。
例文：
She gathered up the newspapers that were scattered around the floor.
Papers were scattered all over her desk.
My relatives are scattered all over the country.
Toys and books were scattered about/around the room.
My family is scattered all over the world.
On Twitter, Facebook users checked in to see if the problem was affecting others.
‘When Facebook goes down, i go to twitter to see if it is the real deal. Yes, I’m not the only one with #facebookdown,’ one Twitter user wrote.
Another tweeted: ‘Facebook is not working properly right now.’
More than 1,800 Facebook users reported that the site was down around 1 pm.
The majority (43%) have indicated they’re experiencing a ‘total blackout,’ while many others say the issue stems from logging on.
the issue stemで問題の核ととなる部分です。 （stemは茎です。）
It appears the problem affected both desktop and app users, with 17 percent reporting they’ve had trouble with the app today.
the real deal (noun)
Cambridge Dictionaryによると” someone or something that is very good and has all the qualities that people say they have: “ と” the facts about something: “というふうに記載されていますね。
例文：
His performance proved he’s the real deal.
The booklet gives you the real deal on smoking.
properly (adverb)
Cambridge Dictionaryによると” correctly, or in a satisfactory way: “と記載されています。
例文：
It’s still not working properly.
I’m not properly dressed for this kind of weather.
If the plants are tended properly, they’ll thrive in this climate.
He was never properly trained, so you can’t really blame him if he can’t do the job.
blackout (noun)
Cambridge Dictionaryによると” a short period when the electricity supply to a building or district is stopped, especially at night “ と記載されています。
例文：
Power lines were blown down and we had a blackout of several hours.
A blackout ended the game early.
